The exceptional results achieved in more than 200 applications where Executive MBA’s applied the Language of Value models for at least six months in live projects provided the foundation for much of the current system. Since the EMBA’s had a mix of backgrounds including physicians, professors in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and education, officer levels in telecommunications, construction, architecture, government, non-profits, as well as public prosecutors, nurses, teachers, lawyers and engineers plus appointed and elected officials, there has been an exceptionally wide scope of applications.
Without fail the EMBA students were surprised with how many new ideas and insights they uncovered during their project, which started in the summer of their second year and in many cases was not completed until several months after their graduation. Dr. Spencer always worked very closely with each student in defining and completing their project. Each project involved a current problem or issue needing a solution that they faced in their current job. In most cases, the students had a sponsor executive who helped define and focus the work as well as support the implementation efforts based on findings and recommendations.
